Mary Knisley

My name is Mary Knisley and I teach Preschool at Allen Elementary. My career in teaching young children spans over 15 years and within this time, I completed a Master’s degree from Eastern Michigan University and raised four children. I absolutely love working with preschoolers, as they never cease to amaze me with their creativity, imagination and curiosity. My passions lie with children’s literature, science and art. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, any activities outdoors, yoga and travel!
One of my favorite children's books is "Apples & Oranges: Going Bananas with Pairs." I love this book because it really engages the children in conversation and to make connections. It is also very silly and always a crowd pleaser!
