First Grade

Megan Davis

My name is Megan Davis. I teach First Grade at Allen! I attended Eastern Michigan University for both undergrad and graduate school. My favorite book is "The Popcorn Shop" by Alice Low. This is one of the many books I remember reading with my parents at bedtime. It's wonderful to see my students enjoy this book in the same way. I enjoy spending my free time with my family and friends, usually outdoors or exploring new places!

 

Maya Gold

My name is Maya Gold. I am excited to be teaching first grade at Allen Elementary! I went to undergrad and graduate school at Eastern Michigan University and received my teaching certification from the University of Michigan.

One of my favorite children’s books is The Invisible String, By Patrice Karst. It is a sweet story about relationships and connection. 

I enjoy spending time with my children, playing board games, and attending live concerts and plays.

Hello my name is Maurella Murphy-Morrow I am excited to be teaching 1st grade at Allen! I grew up in Ann Arbor and went to Eastern Michigan University for my bachelors degree and Western Michigan University for my masters degree. My favorite children's book is "Where The Wild Things Are" because I love how the Wild Things and Max have a wild rumpus! In my spare time I enjoy gardening, reading, yoga, and spending time with my husband, my son Jones, and our two cats.
